El Rancho Mexican Grill - Baton Rouge

I did not get my sweet tea or my BEEF Burrito Special. Then my guacamole was already turning black! The other review was accurate. I don't think they know the damn difference between beef and chicken ! I hate bad reviewing but this is necessary so y'all don't get screwed like we did! My husband was so upset! We spend 20+ dollars of hard earned money for it to go in the trash. Try another restaurant. Worth the extra money!

We stopped by here early evening with the kids for dinner. We had 2 Fajita Bravas, 2 quesadillas and a kid 's menu burger. All the food was great and service was good. The salsa was wonderful... it 's just how it 's made here. The 2 for 1 draft beer was served in a frozen mug and really hit the spot. Everyone was stuffed and we needed 3 boxes. Our second time here and we will be back. Con: Window blinds need replacing or serious cleaning. Don 't forget to 'like ' my reviews!

Really Good, and I am not usually fond of Mexican Restaurants. There are few Mexican Restaurants I really want to eat at (I should say Tex-Mex). Most of them have canned salsa that I have to add Pico de Gallo to help it. Bagged stale chips. Sides of beans are usually tasteless canned sludge and the rice is dry. WELL NOT HERE!!!! I have eaten here twice in the last two months just to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke. I have eaten Mexican food in California, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, etc. and I can honestly say that this is one of the top three for taste I enjoyed. The building is not prepossessing at all but my wife and I were really hungry while we were there for a business trip and took a chance. The usual decorations, fiesta stuff and beer signs. Some of the furniture was a little shabby and worn, but the food made the trip worthwhile. WE WILL BE RETURNING!
