Dune Grass Cafe - Bay Head

Interesting menu, good food and outdoor, dog-friendly seating.

Do not visit this restaurant under any circumstances. The service is terrible and you are made to feel unwelcome. We had a limited time frame as we needed to catch a train an hour after arriving. 40 minutes after placing our order, it was clear that we would not receive our food in time. We asked our server if we could take our food to go and pay the bill. The server disappeared and we never saw her again. We tried asking another server for help, but she said there was nothing she could do, not even print a check. Eventually, we received the check, paid quickly, and were told the food was on its way. However, the food never arrived and we had to leave. It's understandable for a restaurant to be busy on a summer weekend, but some communication from the staff would have been appreciated.

Nice little place to have lunch al fresco! Food was decent, a little high priced but to be expected in Bay Head.

The food is good, but the service is below par and the manager is possibly the rudest person in the service industry.

The food was delicious and the service was fast. The staff was very friendly.
