During my recent trip to Rome, I was able to get a full glass of wine for just $6! The only positives were the beautiful view and our waitress, who was genuinely attentive and friendly.
The location is excellent! I ordered the Tiki Joe burger, and it was delicious! My server, Kayla, was absolutely wonderful. While the prices are a bit on the high side, the food is definitely worth it.
I really enjoyed my visit to Captree Park, but unfortunately, Tiki Joe's on the other side left a lot to be desired. I ordered the fish tacos, which were advertised as Mahi Mahi, but to my surprise, they were actually cold tuna. Three cold tuna tacos for around $25? No thanks. My friends and I couldn't even finish them. The artichoke dip seemed to have been microwaved—there was a layer of oil on top, and the bowl was scalding hot. Plus, it was really watery. The soda was mostly ice, with the remaining portion being watered-down soda. Overall, the food felt overpriced and mediocre. For a $120 bill, I think I'll skip this place next time I go on a fishing trip or grab a bite elsewhere. The service was great, which is why I'm giving it 2 out of 5 stars.
I'm looking forward to a nice dinner. Not expected great as it beach/fishing place, but at least decent. It was terrible. Had an appetizer.Dip with chips. The chips weren't even whole chips. They were a bunch of broken pieces. That's pretty bad. Had fish tacos. The shells came out of a bag, not heated or roasted in any way. The fish had absolutely no taste. No season. It was terrible. Mango salsa came from a glass, but not a good glass of salsa. So for two of us. It was $80. With two beers. With a tip of about $100. Not worth it. Such a shame for such a great place that could be edible.
The setting is really nice and our waitress, Kaia was good. The food was just okay. It?s honestly a bit pricey for what it is. The cups for the mixed drinks were really small and cost 14$. The fries and iced tea were good and I liked the toppings on the fish tacos. But whatever was used for the fish tasted like a bland tuna and not Mahi Mahi. It was little shreds of fish instead of a filet. I think it would be a lot better in one piece and a better quality of fish was used.
