In early July we visited Hotel and Restaurant Eisensteiner Hof in Bayerisch Eisenstein on the way back from Bavarian Forest, Germany to Sumava, Czech Republic. Terrace was full, no one inside. I asked for a local specialty, waiters recommended typical Bavarian food pork meat medals with mushroom sauce and peas and spelled.... good choice, but not excellent. Beef broth with great emptying.... good choice, but the soup was warm, not hot as I like it. Dessert excellent something with cherries, I don't remember well. Waitress very kind. We're sure we'll be back next time. Enjoy your trip wherever you are!

Went for two day stay at my Sons place.He took me for Lunch at this establishment.Had what I normally had in Germany??.Veinaschnitzel Fries with a Lager.It was well cooked and I finished my plate ready gfor Pudding.

Very nice place with good beer. Also got a small dish before the main dish. Had a Dampfbier which also was a nice experiece. Very much caramel in the taste.

Although it has the trappings of a formal hotel-restaurant, such as cloth napkins and candles, the Eisensteiner Hof's welcoming staff and relaxed atmosphere create a comfortable environment for a family with young children. Multilingual menus offer a variety of European dishes, including excellent options for vegetarians and children. The food was delicious and good value considering the quality and portion size.
