Mona Lisa - Bayonne

Food was at best luke warm nearer cold, and we saw other tables returning their food to be reheated. All in all not a great experience but the restaurant was very busy (all tourists I guess)

We have eaten here at least three times in the past week. The service is great, they have waiters who speak a little English! The outside dining is very nice, next to the river. My favorite was the mussels for lunch! My only disappointment was that they didn’t have Grand Marnier for an aperitif.

Lunch menu was filling and delicious. Very good value, about 12 euro for 2 courses:copious salad with Parma ham and an interesting melange of steak, pastry and macaroni cheese on the side. Great service with a lovely riverview.

Very popular place, if you haven't booked, getting there between 6 7:30 pretty much ensures a decent seat. Good choice of food and good service too. Leave it much later and you'll be waiting to be seated. Had a bit of fun feeding the fish in the river (probably shouldn't have but what the heck).
