Five Guys - Bayside

I felt disrespected and ridiculed by the entire staff during my visit to Five Guys. As a newcomer, I inquired about a chicken sandwich, but they dismissed me completely. It was really embarrassing, so I decided to leave without placing my order. Unfortunately, as I was leaving, I heard them cursing at me and my friends.

This is one of the best-running Five Guys I've had the pleasure of visiting! Their standard waiting time is still better than other locations even when busy! Their burgers are assembled neatly and super-tasty!

I had a craving for a cheeseburger and milkshake today, but unfortunately my gift card wouldn’t work, even though I had checked and there was still a balance on it. The cashier and what appeared to be a manager tried various methods to process the card, but nothing worked. In the end, they generously offered to give me my food for free after a bit of a wait. I really appreciated their thoughtful solution. The restaurant was clean, and the burger and shake were both delicious!

Had a cashier named Timothy with an awful attitude from beginning to end. First he was chatting with a friend while I was waiting at the register to order. When he actually did come over to take my order, he didn 't so much as greet me, he just stood there until I started talking first. He rang up my order wrong- twice- and when I corrected him he audibly sighed at me. (He rang it up wrong a third time too- I asked for a burger meal, but he rang up the burger, fries, and drink separately. By then I just couldn 't be bothered to correct him anymore. Never even said so much as a have a nice day when I completed my order, and it 's not as though the restaurant was busy, either. There was no line, it was the middle of the afternoon, and it was almost empty inside. I tried to be polite. I work in retail and understand it can be tough, but Timothy 's attitude was just unacceptable and unwarranted. I spent nearly $40 here and doubt I 'll ever come back. I don 't expect the cashier to be my friend, but I do expect them to at least pretend to be polite. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area (and even other Five Guys locations that won 't treat you like a nuisance for placing an order.

The food was enjoyable, but the wait for it was 25 minutes. One of the waiters was quite rude to my friend when he asked for a free refill. Overall, it's not worth the time when you can find better and quicker service elsewhere.
