We stop at Beaudesert at least 3 times per year on our way to the Gold Coast for a 2 week holiday and again on our way home after the holiday to Stanthorpe. Panitz country Bake is just that. It bakes whatever is on sale in the shop so you know it is fresh. They also sell coffee and tea and have a table available to sit in the shop. We buy a sliced white and go next door to Heit's Quality Meats (07) 5541 2600) and purchase their home made ham. The price per kilo? $17.95 and it is tasty!!! (I am sure the bakery sells you some real butter so you can enjoy ham sandwiches in the park opposite.) Well, this is what you find in country towns. In other words, if the locals do not buy it they do not survive long in business and these people have been here for a long time. Try it. You will not regret it.

Those ice-cream are a killer! Don't miss it and take the time to queue because it's worthwhile! I ate a cone with 2 enormous scups (canele and nuts).

This is THE BEST ICE CREAM PARLOUR I HAVE BEEN TO IN MY LIFE SO FAR. There are about 80 different flavours, all of amazing quality.
