Republic Chicken - Beaumont

Excellent South Style food with a modern update. I had the sweet and spicy Presidio Chicken and my wife had the fried shrimps. Both were excellent and the service is great.

We had fried chicken and chicken fried chicken. All of the food was excellent! A really cute atmosphere and good Southern cooking! Sweet tea was awesome too

Food was delish...service was a little slow although we did get food right away. Price is reasonable if you share...and just pay the 8.99 upcharge instead of paying for a whole other meat. Plenty is given to share.

Everything I had was delicious, well seasoned and tasted like it was made from scratch. Friendly wait staff and generous portions $5 tap beer!

First time... was not impressed. We came in on a Friday evening and didn’t have to wait to be seated. We informed our waitress it was our first time, she didn’t offer any suggestions. We asked if she could explain the fried chicken meal and she said it was family style. We didn’t know how many pieces would come so when she took our order we seemed confused. All she said we both get meat. Not sure how many pieces. Oh well, we ordered way too much food for just two people. Chicken was dry with too little meat, mostly bones. Mashed potatoes were salty. I did enjoy the cream corn. It’s a clean place.
