La Buissonniere - Beaune

The review before mine must have the wrong restaurant because this is a five star restaurant. The owner and waiter were friendly, welcoming and spoke excellent English. The food and wine were perfect and I love the outdoor cozy courtyard. We especially loved the bone marrow appetizer- the best we have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant for Michelin quality food with reasonable prices.

Stopped for dinner. Greeted by bartender, who recognized us as American and immediately pretended not to understand us. Then dismissed our request for table in pure French rudeness. I never imagined it was more than a frame of mind. Also the restaurant was filthy and smelled of trash. Don’t bother.

By far the best meal we had in Beaune close to the centre but away from the crowds. The food was delicious, local and inventive, and the wine list was very extensive and well curated. The inside is very charming with an open kitchen, and the courtyard is a hidden gem. One to book so that you don’t miss out it was a very memorable meal for us.

Le cadre (intérieur comme terrasse) est original, authentique et agréable; l'accueil sobre et courtois. La carte est plutôt restreinte (deux entrées, quatre plats, trois desserts) mais les plats sont originaux et surtout très bons. Le service est efficace et sans ambages.Ce qui est appréciable c'est que le restaurant n'est pas bondé : le niveau sonore est correct et le service suit (délais d'attente corrects). Pour terminer, le restaurant sait s'adapter à différentes demandes (végétarien, plat enfant...)Réservation recommandée ! Très bonne expérience!
