Gyro House Mediterranean Grill

You're pretty good, I don't have much experience with Mediterranean food, but as far as I know it was great. Portions are stupid big for the price and most of the staff is extremely friendly, while some are just meh, but not rude. I had a spicy chicken gyro and the fried chicken and it was ridiculously big. I had to eat it with a fork because I'm not a python and my jaw is not unhindered. Would definitely return

The homemade hummus, grilled lamb and fresh bread is a game changer in the local food scene. Great atmosphere and great energetic service. I still think about the hummus I had yesterday because I can't get enough.

We enjoyed our lamb gyro and chicken shawarma at one of the two outside picnic benches. Absolutely amazing food, efficient and very fast service. Employee was so kind to serve us our items, carrying them to the outdoor tables with a smile. Reasonably priced, nice dessert options and the outside tables were much appreciated by our pooch! Save room (or take them home) for the decadent Honey Balls!

Gyro House has definitely gone up in quality overtime but it is still hit or miss. In the last year I have come here three times. The first time we ordered pizza for takeout and it was very soggy in the 10 minutes it took to get home pretty much un eatable. The second time I came I had a Lamb Gyro and it was a large portion size and solid with good taste. I was very satisfied. Unfortunately today, I tried the lamb kebab Gyro and it is an utter disappointment for $13. It is standard for them to provide only five pieces or one skewer which unfortunately is very disappointing for a Gyro. After only a few bites you are left with 75% of your pita gyro with 0 meat. One of my lamb pieces was also very difficult to chew and almost raw. Overall, I recommend coming here only occasionally and to eat something before hand just in case your food is not satisfying which is a high chance. The worst feeling is to go out for lunch hungry and come home unsatisfied.

Amazing food and hospitality. I was referred to this place by my friend, Kevin K. So i went here with no expectations. We ordered combo platter, fried chicken. I like them both and the chicken tastes so fresh and crispy. The meat on the platter is so amazing, hands down to lamb and chicken. Will for sure be back, in price point I thought its little over the price line. One should try who comes to Portland.
