Vanilla Tree - Bedford

Always handy for good quality coffee and cake for friends plus a GF and DF choice for me. Nice atmosphere.

The coffee is very good hence the score of 4, and the staff are friendly but as a vegetarian i found the smell of cooking bacon rather overwhelming. I completely appreciate this is a personal thing but for me it did spoil it and I wouldn’t go again sadly. If you don’t mind that though the coffee is very good.

This coffee shop has it all; Delicious coffee, hand crafted bagels, local produce, arty hipster vibes and the staff are welcoming, well trained and the best. It’s the only place for coffee and bagels in Bedford. Luke

A smal but delightful cafe, kept with the original wood flooring, Vanilla Tree is a cosy and comfortable place to visit. Home made bagels with salmon and scrambled eggs were delicious and it was a real delight to be served a pot of loose leafAssam tea, a treat in these days of the hated teabag in a cup. A range of delicious pastries to follow gave us much pause but the Portugese tart and Victoria sponge chosen were fabulous. The young staff were absolutely lovely and we were shocked to discover how long our visit ran to, because at no time were we led to feel we had overstayed our welcome. Will definitely be doing a return visit soon.

This morning landing in this caffe for the first time and will definitely come back! I love the French toast and of course the coffee! and the ambiente was so beautiful!
