Bay Wrap - Belfast

Located just a block from the state house, this restaurant is an ideal spot for a quick lunch. They offer excellent sandwich wraps with creative names, and the friendly staff always remembers their customers, making for a truly enjoyable experience.

I realize that the Belfast Bay Wrap is the original location, but my experiences have been exclusively at the one in Augusta. In fact, I often find reasons to visit Augusta just to enjoy lunch there. Their diverse and delicious wraps are the ideal meal—tasty, healthy, convenient, and yes, I really meant to emphasize how tasty they are. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel like a regular from your very first visit. After that initial experience, I'm confident you'll want to return.

At that point, I seriously considered leaving, but we had already paid for our meals. My partner had asked to use the restroom earlier and was directed to go through some red barricades and past a sign stating that customers were not allowed beyond that point. He found a dirty door that led to the only restroom, which was occupied, so he had to wait. While he stood there, the same rude staff member from the kitchen yelled at him. Finally, the restroom door opened, but it wasn’t clear that it was available for anyone in the dining area. When my partner returned to the table, he remarked that if we hadn’t already paid, we would have left the restaurant. Eventually, we received our wraps after our friends had finished theirs, and we were very disappointed with the food. I would never return to this place and cannot recommend it at all.

I ordered the vegan teriyaki pack, and it was mostly just rice and teriyaki sauce, with a small amount of pineapple and only two pieces of broccoli. I think this meal really needs some fried tofu and more vegetables! Additionally, the Texan wrap I ordered as vegan was filled with real cheese.

We ordered the Texans Nightmare dish and the Teriyaki No Saki, both served with ice cream on the side. Everything was vegan and absolutely delicious, and they even assured us that the soy was fine to eat.
