The during whole claim process was painful because of the owner didn't cooperate and show any care. The owner said since the insurance company deny the claim so he refuse to pay. I'll take legal action. For your safety, Stay away from this store!
Quick, casual Chinese takeout in Jing Jing Asian Market. While around Factoria I was looking for a cheap lunch spot and learned that there was China Box, the takeout concept for Jing Jing Asian Market. I didn 't know what they served 'til I arrived and saw the pre-packaged hot food items on the counter. The menu display isn 't even complete, so it 's worth asking and looking at the items on the counter versus going off of the menu. After speaking with one of the employees for some recommendations I purchased the bowl with chili fish, which had cod in chili spices and cabbage over steamed rice. For only 10 bucks, it was worth trying. But they do have other Chinese items, such as Taiwanese pork and hard-boiled egg over rice, Singaporean noodles, pork spare ribs, etc... The chili fish bowl was A-OK. The cod was tender, which was nice, but the chili flavor lacked. I didn 't taste much of the red chili flakes that I was expecting and hoping to have, but did see a few throughout the bowl. Cabbage salad was few; I would 've liked to have had more veggies with the bowl, as much of it was filled with the steamed rice. There was a nice sauce that soaked some of the rice, and I soon learned that it was from the Taiwanese pork that probably had fallen in the bowl, as I tasted a few pieces of it. Getting that next time! Overall, it 's nice to know there 's this casual takeout spot in Jing Jing and in the Factoria area for when you just want some cheap Asian food. However, it 's not the best, especially when compared to other Asian grocers that have a similar concept (Uwajimaya).
This is my new daily lunch place. It's a hot deli, so not cooked to order, but everything is fresh made by hand and the portions are great. Try the sweet and sour pork ribs and the Shanghai meatballs. And the desserts are AMAZING. Egg tarts and rice cakes, perfect sweetness and flavor. Staff is super sweet and nice, accidentally made two boxes when I asked for one, when I said I'd pay for it for dinner, they insisted on half price. Nine bucks for a FAST, healthy (if you get white rice) and filling meal that tastes awesome. Just try it out!
The restaurant provides genuine and well-crafted Shanghainese take-out boxes at reasonable prices. Additionally, the menu is extensive and includes vegetarian options.
This is one of the few genuine Shanghainese restaurants in the area, the other being Shanghai House. The flavors here bring back fond memories of my childhood. The pork mooncakes and radish pastries are flaky and delicious! The kaofu and tofu with shredded vegetables are also quite good. Overall, the flavors are delightful, and I can't wait to return and sample more of their dishes.
