Big Stick Barbecue - Bellingham

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Last year, we started a tradition of having brisket for Christmas Eve dinner, and Big Stick did not disappoint! The leftovers were perfect for breakfast the next day, paired with over easy eggs and hash browns.

Don't be fooled by the appearance of the office building, this is actually a BBQ restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you'll be hit with the amazing smell that will remind you of backyard BBQ parties. I ordered the Rissa, which was pulled pork with brie and jalapeño jelly on a rosemary bun - a unique and delicious combination of flavors. My husband had the Texas Reuben, which had a generous amount of tender brisket. We both loved the housemade bread and sauces. The mac n cheese was creamy and not too salty, and I particularly enjoyed the tangy cowboy caviar, although I would have preferred black beans. We wish we lived closer so we could come back more often. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Bellingham, as it's conveniently located near the freeway. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The ribs, pork belly burnt ends, brisket, and pulled pork were incredibly tender, well-seasoned, and generously portioned compared to other places. Even as takeout, the food was still fantastic after a 25-minute drive home. I am surprised by others' complaints about portion size and quality, as I found all the sides and barbecue sauce to be enjoyable, not just tolerable. Big Stick Barbecue offers generous portions that are far better in flavor, quality, and value compared to competitors like Danielle's or Jack's BBQ. Additionally, the customer service was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed by Linda, who answered all our questions with care and attention to detail. Trust me, the portions at Big Stick Barbecue are more than enough. Forget about Danielle's or Jack's BBQ - Big Stick Barbecue is superior in taste, quality, and value. Additionally, the customer service was outstanding. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and Linda answered all of our questions with care and attention to detail. Wow, this restaurant serves some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted. Every dish was cooked perfectly, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend this place. The only downside was that the parking spaces were a bit small.
