Jalapeños Fairhaven - Bellingham

Ate lunch here with a few friends, we had a fantastic meal and received exceptional service! Our server was friendly, attentive, and gave helpful feedback about the dishes we asked about. She immediately brought us chips and salsa, which were refreshing and perfectly seasoned. All of our meals were tasty and the portions were huge. Two of us ordered the Vegetarian Taco Salad, they happily accommodated dietary restrictions (my friend’s vegan . Although I wanted vegetarian, I prefer refried beans to black beans, and this change was a nonissue. Refried beans and rice are a staple, Jalapeños makes them right! The salad was loaded with seasonal veggies that were cooked perfectly, the dish had great flavor. In my opinion, these meals were shareable, I couldn’t finish half my salad. One person in our group ordered Fajitas and said they’re her go-to, the other ordered Beef Tacos and enjoyed them. Meals are fairly priced, Taco Salad was $10 (lunch special and the other meals were $18-20, so I’d suggest ordering from the lunch menu if you’re on a budget since they have many options! This place has a calm yet fun vibe, the music wasn’t too loud so we could all hear each other. We sat in a booth, which was roomy and comfy enough to accommodate four. Everything was clean (washroom, dishes, cutlery, our table, etc. . I ate here once 5 years ago and I had a great experience then, it’s nice to see they’ve kept up the great work providing excellent service and tasty food at a fair price. Delicious! Had the nachos- smaller size fed two of us. They brought chips and salsa out first, which is always a nice touch at a Mexican restaurant. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. The shooter(pictured) was awesomely tasty-I can't remember the name- Baileys, tequila Rose, grenadine,etc. We will be back!

The quesadillas were good with Carne asada and the chips and salsa were tasty.

Me and my friends was told to sit anywhere in the bar area and nobody came to our table for almost 30mins we went to bar to get our drinks the bartender said I bring them to you and he did. Then a server dropped off menu's and we never seen him again and another 20mins went by before we was asked if we wanted food. Service I would rate service a negative 5 if I could
