Water Street Waffle Company - Belton

I absolutely love this place. I'm from Austin but ate here while visiting family. I wasn't expecting much but this place could compete with some of my favorite brunch spots back home. The atmosphere is really cute and they have a cozy little garden patio you can eat at when the weather is nice. The service was amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and were able to help me find a breakfast I loved even though I'm a picky vegetarian. Can't wait to eat here again.

In for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated within 5 minutes and another 5 minutes for jour waitress to check on us. We ordered our food and drinks. Drinks came out quickly, food took about 35 minutes. I had the Rye Bourbon and wife had dirty south. Both of us enjoyed the chicken and waffles and potatoes but our eggs were cold. Not just kind of cold, they were cold. Well, they were pretty busy so we let it slide. Overall pretty good but haven?t earned 5 stars yet.

We had heard wonderful things about Water Street, but I did not see what all the hype is about. Food was mediocre at best. My son actually said, Mom, we could literally make this exact meal at home. I had to agree with him. One star for the brief, 10-minute wait-time. One star for the server who was very polite and attentive. The music decor was cool, but the flies buzzing around the window took away from any ambiance for me. The food also was not impressive. It took at least 45 minutes (1 hour after being seated) to get our meals, and when we did, our waffles were crunchy and room temperature, and my side of eggs, potatoes, and sausage was cold and unappealing. The waffle plate presentation was pretty, but overall, the food was disappointing. The server had the manager take 50% off my entree (about $5), so I guess they made some kind of effort to make things better, but it really wasn 't enough to make me want to come back. Bummed that Water Street didn 't live up to its reputation.

The food was great! They close pretty early tho I wish they were open later I?d definitely eat there more often. I had the carnivore omelette and waffle minis. The omelette was good probably needed a tad bit more seasoning or something because the eggs didn?t really have a taste but overall was pretty good. The mini waffles were phenomenal though and definitely a must try!!!!!! They let you choose different flavors and everything. Definitely a 10/10 overall. UPDATE: I went again and took my team from work with me this time and it got even BETTER! I tried ?The Little Terminators? this time and I think I have a new favorite breakfast spot! They have the best chicken sausage I?ve ever had they are definitely a 15/10 !!!!!!!

Beautiful place, clean, and friendly staff. 1st time visit but will be back to try other dishes. Today I tried the 3 little terminators. The waffles were tougher than expected but I saw some others dishes that look delicious. 3 stars for wait time. I watched as some of us waited longer to get our food than others seated after us. Also can't wait to try the mimosa flight.
