Antica Trattoria Pascalucci - BENEVENTO

A super restaurant in the outskirts of Benevento. The food is superb. Fresh fish is a specialty. The have a large tank with live sea bass and lobster. This is our fourth time at the restaurant and we have never been disappointed. Italian is the language, but don't be afraid-the staff is excellent and the owners very hands-on. Recommend the linguine with clams-the best! Wonderful fresh cheese, desserts-what's not to like!

Following a tour of Benevento we stopped at this difficult to find, Michelin ranked local restaurant and were very glad we did. This trattoria is more a 4-star restaurant than trattoria with excellent food and great presentation. Great wine selection. The only thing to be aware is that there are no English menus and staff language is limited. But a great experience. Check it out. Delicious!

When in Italy we often go to the Benevento region and always make an effort to stop in at Pascalucci. The menu is a basic, standard Italian country restaurant menu, so don´t go looking for something 'chic ' or 'creative '. But if you want real food, fresh and at a decent price, then this is your place. I don´t think we´ve ever looked at the menu at Pascalucci, we always let the waiter make several recommendations and we´ve never been led wrong. They have an appetizer which is more like a mini-feast with various offerings such as fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, etc. The pastas are simple and good. We´ve never ordered a second course like fish or meat as we tend to focus on the appetizers and pastas. The wines are generally from the region, and perfectly fine to accompany your meal. Service is kind and flexible. This is a perfect pit stop for those travelling in the region.

It is a matter of elegance. No other place can give me the same satisfaction. not to mention the heavenly food, the chef is very good. Last night I tried some big feathers, seasoned with meatballs, a crescendo, I flew!
