Da Rino - BERCETO

Excellent food much of the menu is based on local dishes. Excellent service. Bit of a drive from the A15 motorway but worth the detour

Berceto is not a large town and there is not a multitude of restaurants to choose from. We chose this one because of the menu. Do not be taken in by the outside appearance, which might suggest that it is small and ordinary. However, the actual restaurant is at the back of the building. It is large, pleasant, without being imposing, and with white tablecloths. As in most non-tourist Italian towns, there was no English menu. However, the service was good and the waiter spoke English. My wife and I shared a large plate of Proscuitto di Parma, then my wife had Funghi Misti and I had Cotolotta alla Milanes as they call Wienerschnitzel around there) with chips. I was amazed to have two large cotolotti on my plate. We had a bottle of very good local white wine which was ridiculously cheap. The cost of this gargantuan repast was €49 £43.50).

Location quite complicate to find as adress does not correspond, the entrance is not easy to locate being on a 'private small pedestrian bridge ' that leads to stairs and then to the dining room... food was ok porcini quite good but nothing special wouldn 't there be better alternative, i could return but there are better alternative...so i will not. prices are acceptable, service not bad parking quite difficult.

We stopped for lunch. good welcome, cleanliness and good attention to covid. Well-dipped lunch with stuffed pasta with excellent seasoning to mushrooms, second of game with tender meat, sweet side dish and coffee, abundant portions. quick and courteous service. good price quality ratio. recommended.

Local in the historic center a few steps from the cathedral, pedestrian island, easily reachable from the parking lot. Spacious rooms and tables also outdoors. Efficient staff. Typical menu based on mushrooms and meat, of good quality. also the wine of the good house.
