Gilman Grill - Berkeley

I've always enjoyed coming here. The food is consistently excellent, there's rarely a wait, and the service is always friendly and quick.

If you’re having trouble getting a table at one of the other spots down the street, get yourself to Gilman Grill for some dependable breakfast and lunch fare. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in tasty food and great service. Worth the extra 2 minute drive. Lots of parking.

I used to like this place alot more. i hadn't eaten there in about ten years. they skimped out on the potatoes. and they put the wrong toast with the wrong eggs which isnt that big of deal because we both ordered over medium. however i asked for my eggs over medium well. my friend asked for her English muffin to be extra toasty. instead they over toasted my rye and put them on the under toasty egg plate. and of course the English muffin was barely warm let alone toasted... restaurant workers of America, English muffins need to go through twice!!! service was marginal the day we were there. coffee was great though i would have loved a refill!!! breakfast cost is about 15 dollars for sausage eggs and potatoes and coffee.

This is an excellent spot for breakfast, with a welcoming atmosphere filled with regular customers and friendly staff. The food is delicious!

We stopped by on our way to Tahoe for a quick meal and were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast options were excellent, and our server was very friendly. The hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict was outstanding. I will definitely be returning!
