Imperial Tea Court - Berkeley

The veggie hand-pulled noodles are outstanding! It's just a shame that they close so early.

In addition to the amazing food, the tea selection is outstanding. My favorite is the Imperial Jin Xuan Milk Oolong, with the Orchid Oolong coming in a close second. Once you find a tea you love (the hardest part is making a choice since all of them are exquisite), be sure to brew some loose leaf at home! And just to clarify, I’ve never worked there; I’m simply a huge fan!

My friend and I have been exploring the East Bay for nearly a year in search of authentic Chinese food. While we may have overlooked some establishments, this has been our favorite so far. Everything was incredibly fresh—there was none of that cheap oil or excessive salt. It truly tasted like home. Absolutely wonderful!

Authentic noodles. I wish they had Bok Choy or another traditional filling for vegetable balls, as I did not like the crowned greens filling (bitter and rough). relatively expensive.

The dumplings were good, and the service was fantastic. Only complaint is that the grating in the table was gross. We especially enjoyed the organic greens, and green tea dumplings. Nice outdoor seating and kid friendly.
