Mint Leaf Vietnamese Berkeley

The vegetable broth at this restaurant is delicious, but unfortunately MSG is used in the other broths/soups. I hope they don't start adding MSG to the vegetable broth as well.

Mint Leaf is a hidden gem located in the central business district, with a high-end grocery store (Berkeley Bowl) nearby. It's been a while since I last visited this restaurant, but it was a pleasant surprise to dine there.

I highly recommend trying the crab soup noodle at this restaurant. The noodle has a traditional texture that is different from pho. I usually order this dish and ask to swap the noodle for pho.

Kind of a nondescript Berkeley hole in the wall with delicious food. Prices are very good, by Berkeley standards. Modest beers and wines are offered. Nothing fancy about this place. Recommend sampling their special juice drinks

Delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Spacious restaurant with friendly staff. They also have vegan selections.
