It was very inviting, especially with the fireplace warming the space on a chilly winter day. We ordered a burger and fish and chips, which were brought to us in the taproom, along with a glass of wine and an appetizer. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was both professional and friendly. Overall, it was a delightful stop in Berrima, a charming town worth visiting!
The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. What truly stood out was the atmosphere; stepping inside felt like entering another world. The original stonework and wood details are beautifully preserved, giving the place the charm of an 18th or 19th-century pub. I could have happily sat there chatting with others and enjoying a drink by the fireplace all night.
Great dining experience in a lovely setting! I enjoyed everything on my plate, including the rare steak, fries, and salad. However, my mother's medium steak looked a bit overcooked, despite the waitress assuring us it was medium. If you're very particular about your steak doneness, that might be a consideration. Nonetheless, the steak was delicious, and so was everything else!
We just finished dinner. eating and ambiente were great. it claims to be the oldest permanently licensed hotel in Australia. get the new yorker sirloin or the fish and chips. The rumpsteak was okay, but not so good.
