The restaurant was off to a promising start under new ownership. However, it has since become a gathering spot for young people who are unwelcome in other establishments, including drug peddlers. The young men who dominate the pool table and act as if they own the place create a negative atmosphere. It is best to avoid this restaurant at all costs. Service and atmosphere both received a rating of 1.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was during my visit to this restaurant. They have 2 hand pumps serving Taylor's Landlord beer, which was fine. The Golden Wonder crisps they offer include the delicious 'pickled onion' flavor, along with the smallest pickled eggs I've ever seen. There was a TV playing a football game, but thankfully it was at a low volume. The restaurant is conveniently located near the main Castle Gate parking area, with plenty of parking available. The price per person ranges from £1 to £10, and the service and atmosphere both received a rating of 3. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

I went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve and found it to be very quiet. The lady serving us was more focused on using her mobile phone than attending to the customers, which was disappointing. I ordered a glass of wine, which was decent, but it was served in a dirty glass with smears and someone else's lipstick still on it. It was clear that customer service and cleanliness were not a priority at this establishment. I will not be returning. The price per person was £1–10.

We arrived at 6pm on the 16th Dec, as soon as we walked in there was a group of young lads in drunk and swearing and it was disgusting, this would have never happened Margaret owned it! I was so so scared this shouldn’t have happened, totally fight and a guy getting kicked on the head!!! Absolutely disgusting, I will never bring my family back into this pub again!! It was terrible what had to put up with,ill never set foot in that pub again, just full of basically youngsters that won't take no one else where! Seeing a guy getting kicked in the head when you're out for a quiet drink at 6pm and no staff doing anything apart from a girl sitting on the other side of the barno managment there as we were told they were away on holiday!! Only 1 lady there that took responsibility and she wasn't even managment,, Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
