Green Island Jamaican Food - Bethel

I was so excited for my dinner as I LOVE goat curry so I ordered a large. Sadly it was so salty (and not that flavorful) that Im not sure I can eat it. Hate throwing food away so Im gonna try it over rice in hopes itll tone it down a bit. The meat was very tender though.

Collard greens were spicy and amazing. Jerk chicken was just like how I remembered it from Cayman Islands. Fruit cake was authentic with homemade icing. I ordered on Doordash for myself, but then had to order for my girlfriend. I called the place directly and the very nice lady on the phone was able to expedite my order quickly so it could be put with my doordash order. Excellent service, excellent food.

I ordered the Ox Tail Dinner. And let me tell y’all it was soooo good! Tastes just like the ones back home in Atlanta. If I had to say one thing it would be that the gravy they gave me coulda been a tad bit thicker and more of it! The taste is so on point! I just found my new go to spot for a flavorful and fulfilling dinner!

Everything from the service to the food was exceptional! I placed my order in advanced (4hours prior to pick up) over the phone and the service I received was exquisite. The gentleman was very kind and friendly, despite my complicated order. His personality even made my day better over the phone! When I arrived to pick up my food, the women behind the counter were so very sweet and welcoming. My food was HOT and ready on time. I’m a big fan of Jamaican food and the flavor, textures, and aromas of Green Island food was superb. I was beyond impressed with the entirety of my experience. I greatly look forward to my next meal here!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant among many in the greater Danbury area! You will not be disappointed!

Not what I expected from a jamaican restaurant. Nothing beats New York style Jamaica restaurants they put flavor and spice in their food. I paid almost 20dollars for a patty a piece of Easter cheese and banana chips. I will make sure I get my food from New York next time.
