Surprisingly, the desserts are quite indulgent for a vegan bakery; it's easy to forget they’re plant-based! However, they do tend to be extremely sweet. Most of the offerings are heavily frosted, including many cakes, whoopie pies, and various "bombs." Everything has a strong taste of sugar and oil, often leaving a greasy or somewhat plasticky sensation in the mouth, as some have noted. When we first visited, I expected to come back frequently, but the richness and oiliness have been a significant drawback for me. It would be fantastic if there were a wider variety of treats, perhaps including options that feature more fruit or savory flavors. The cookies are definitely the standout items from the selection, but even they can be hit or miss. I recognize this bakery is a beloved establishment in Bethlehem and certainly the best vegan bakery around, but I have to say I find it to be somewhat overhyped.
My friends and I sampled a variety of treats, including donuts, a strawberry cheesecake cannoli, a banana oat chocolate cookie, and a delicious banana cheesecake. The whipped topping on the cheesecake was incredibly fluffy and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. The cookie was rich and perfectly moist. My friends also enjoyed their choices. This is definitely a fantastic place to visit if you’re in the area!
The pineapple soft serve was fantastic! The texture was slightly unusual but very enjoyable. I left the ice cream in my car for about an hour while I went grocery shopping, and it only melted a little. Once I got home, I put it in the freezer, where it did harden, but after letting it sit on the counter for about 30 minutes, it softened to the perfect consistency. Interestingly, the flavor varied—with some bites tasting more like vanilla and others leaning more towards pineapple. I highly recommend trying this ice cream, especially since it's vegan. I think it's a great option for people who are lactose intolerant and miss enjoying ice cream (though it's always wise to check with the shop to ensure it meets your allergy requirements).
This bakery is open every day until 9 PM, which is great for visiting when other bakeries are closed. The peanut butter bomb was quite rich, perhaps too much so. The tiramisu donuts lacked flavor, and I also tried the butterscotch cookie.
It doesn't look like much from the outside but the sweet baked goods wafted outside the door. When you walk in the oven gooey smell of baked good overtakes anything you are thinking about. The staff is super friendly they have every flavor cake you can think of and a wide variety of gluten free cakes.
