The Sparrenburg is located in the castle. In such places, the view is often better than the food but on this occasion the food was excellent. I enjoyed the wildgulasch. It was snowing outside so there were very few customers but the service was fine.
We had a short tour and it was great...we went around the surrounding and the famous well was interesting to see.
The sparrenburg in bielefeld in the beautiful teutoburger forest is a castle that has already been looking very nice in the years and has complained many visitors. whether in the week or at the weekend always well visited on the burg itself there are very nice views in the evening hours or in the morning sunrise sunset where they can comfortably observe the whole spectacle. Depending on the date on which it takes place, a guide at the burgturm or in the underground passes is also possible. the sparrenburg in bielefeld is an outbound destination. I'm so excited.
03.08.2017 am sparrenburg I was already several times what belongs to a visit in bielefeld, a walk to the sparrenburg, which is the real sign of bielefeld and at the same time the northernmost spornburg deutschlands, just to be rewarded. The wall from the new city over treppen and away up leading away is partly steep and demanding, so I had to be very nice and even a short break had to be at last that I had to they can visit the museum, climb the tower or participate in guided tours or simply perceive the gastronomic offer. in the early year we sat on the terrace at the kiosk at coffee and cake. price was the offer in order, but it was annoying to rent in a wait and the associated waiting period. on days with beautiful weather it can be quite crowded at the weekend already here. there are still some versions of the story, as this aspekt has been neglected in previous reviews. before the first castle was built in the 13th century, it should have been a fortified facility that secured the pass over the teutoburgerwald under the castle as a historical road. the castle was built around 1250 to protect the city bielefeld founded around 1214 through the graft of ravensberg. in the following centuries, the professions often changed, whether due to the lack of male succession of the respective burg owners or because of the married. so the burganlage also reached the grafen von jülich kleve. from approx. In 1530, the castle was extended to a fortification system that had right it in the time of this time and should be used later in the 17th century in the 30th century war. the burg was transferred to the lowerlands due to the inconvenience in the framework of the Xanten Treaty, but fell into the hands of the Spanish at that time, was later occupied by the Swedish and Hessian and then left the outdated French in 1642. because of the Westphalian fries (1648) came the castle in the possession of brandenburg Prussia. the last sieges were carried out in the French Dutch war 1673 and 1679. but it was not destroyed. in the 18th century the fortification was lost. they fell off and served as a building material supplier for a barrack. thanks to the turn of the 19th burgenromantics has been rebuilt for centuries, although it was not quite identical. the strategically located burganlage was used in the 2nd world war as a flicking position, as such bombarded and severely damaged. the recovery took almost 40 years to 1987. next to the above mentioned use, the medieval sparrenburgfest annually ends juli and other events take place. Conclusion: the sparrenburg is not least a rewarding destination for geocacher! P.S my photos have been found for some time at the site photos. No, where did they go? I will take care of it and make it available again.
