Albatros - Bilbao

Friends from Bilbao first took me here and I have been coming every visit since. We arrived late for lunch but three of us were fitted in today. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, good wine and at great value.

Had breakfast here whilst staying at hotel opposite Mecure). Great value and the owner remembered us and our likes when we went back the next day. Great tomatoes and olive oil on toast! 2 coffees, a freshly squeezed orange juice, 2 pinchos, €7 . Can sit inside or out. Very friendly service.

The best cafe for breakfast in Bilbao. Pintxos were €1 each extremely delicious. The coffee was very good. Most of all the owner barista are warm friendly.

I've had a day menu this week, a very good menu. He gave us some picks while we waited for the first dish. the barman very nice as the owner of the bar. highly recommended and central.

We went to this restaurant guided by the good references, as it was in front of the hotel and we arrived at lunchtime. Although it was Saturday we were surprised that they had a dish of the day for some doctors that we took alcachofas with first ham, chipirones in their second ink and dessert rice cake typical of bilbao (which does not carry rice). Furthermore, it is worth noting the kindness and sympathy of the owner, who recommended interesting things to do in bilbao without even asking him. Also the breakfasts were at the height of the meal.
