Brick and Tin - Birmingham

This place rocks!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The setting is fresh, clean, and hip. The food Ahhhh-Mazing I ate it too fast to take a pic because it just looked and smelled too good I couldn't wait to chow down. I wish I would have known about the 20% online order coupon. I would have ordered beforehand and picked it up. I'm only in town for two days so won't be able to use the offer but here is a pic for all of you. The chocolate bread pudding there are no words to describe how yummy this treat it is, it is a rich dense dish, I recommend sharing and adding extra whip cream which tasted home-made as well. I added more pics to main gallery as well. But if you are in Birmingham I HIGHLY recommend eating here.

Small, quaint place. Prices and servings were adequate. We took food home. Only beer and wine. Organic, clean ingredients. The staff was friendly. You order, then sit we initially missed that part?

We had a quick lunch here while in town for an art exhibit. The restaurant is very attractive the atmosphere was nice. We ordered at the front our food was on our table in short order. Both my husband and I thought our food was delicious! He ordered the brisket panini I had the chick and tin. He added an order of Brussel sprouts we each had the macaroni side. The good: The food was wonderful. My chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was fried perfectly so that it had a slight crunch the condiments tasted homemade, not out of a jar…and boy, that makes all the difference. The pickles, the sauce, the bread— all tasted homemade. The macaroni had the perfect amount of cheese and wasn’t swimming in grease. The portions were also good sized. I tried my husband’s Brussel sprouts they were really good, which says something bc I don’t normally like them. They came on sauce that tasted similar to deviled egg stuffing. The only thing holding this place back from five stars was the price and the tip. I’ve never paid 9 for Brussel sprouts before the macaroni was a 3 upcharge. We knew this upon ordering, but it still seemed a little steep. Our lunch was two sandwiches, two sides an extra side of Brussel sprouts for 57.76. Granted, the Brussel sprouts were dubbed a small plate, but it was more of a side dish to us. The other thing that didn’t quite sit well was that you pay tip before you receive any service. We tip twenty percent or more 99 of the time, and we would have done so that day after our meal, but we both thought it was somewhat off putting. Our service was fine, but very minimal think McAllister’s Deli , and we would have left 20 , we just didn’t like paying it up front. And my husband has been a waiter, so he believes in tipping well. However, we thought the food was fantastic, and would return if in the neighborhood again as evidenced by our 4 star experience. We just may order more strategically next time.

The chicken tacos, per menu, come with pico, avocado crema and huh. I made a pick-up job today and the tacos came with nothing but chicken. I removed the pico at order; I didn't remove the crema. I'm really disappointed because it's dry without it. I've got these tacos before. I know they're good, but there's only three things on the tacos. it should be difficult to be assaulted. not happy about it. I paid 17 for dry chicken tacos, and if they had no avocados, no one mentioned it to me.
