Redlands Grill By J. Alexander's

The place is always clean when I have been and the food is usually good. The food is lacking though. It has that chain restaurant-ness to it and has lost its uniqueness over the years. It is a little pricey for the quality of food that you recieve. The staff is usually pretty nice, but I have had experiences before

Frankly, if you live on the 65 Corredor and Hoover Pelham area there just aren't that many great dining options in the fine dining area. There are some great restaurants but no Gems. I've been going to j alexander's<br/ For a number of years for lunch and dinner.<br/ From the outside it has the appearance of a chain which it is but they do do it right.<br/ <br/ I've enjoyed their salads, appetizers, steaks, chicken dishes… It is a very consistent place, not expensive not cheap mid range to food pricing. They really do it right here as far as quality of food and service.<br/ <br/ I've always been impressed with the consistency of the food… And I also have a really nice bar if you just want to have a drink and an appetizer.<br/ <br/ I highly recommend this place.

Good food, as always. Love the classy, jazzy ambience. Get the carrot cake! It's warm and buttery, the best I've ever had. My veggie burger was average for J. Alexander's. It's usually really good at other locations. My partner's steak sandwich was excellent.

This is really nice place around Riverchase galleria. The restaurant is big and the decor is nice. The steak there was very good. Good place for a date night.
