Cooroy Hotel - BLACK HEAD

Fairly expensive menu I ordered the chicken schnitzel; it was soggy, pale yellow and the mushroom gravy tasted burnt. My friend ordered a pepperoni pizza and while the dough was hanging off the plate (it was that big) there were about 10 20c piece sized pieces of salami. Pay top dollar to eat dough with sauce. One of the ladies serving (looked to be a manager) was in a foul mood, so rude and I didn’t see her smile once.

Our family had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the food was tasty. Cheryl provided excellent service, she was very attentive and efficient. The Cooroy Hotel is fortunate to have someone like Cheryl on their team. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return for another dinner.

The restaurant was too expensive considering the simple and basic quality of the food. My son ordered a steak that was tough and we had to pay extra for the pepper sauce. My pizza was undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen for further cooking. While the toppings were fresh, the base was like a frozen pizza - thin, hard, and dry. Paying with a card at the bar for drinks was irritating as they added a merchant fee to each round. Overall, the prices were high and the quality was lacking. I would not recommend this place.

Excellent quality pub food, pleasant dining area, reasonably priced, service very good too. Will definitely return.

DISGUSTINGLY RUDE staff, over priced food. Treated like garbage by staff. Not the first time either. Consistently same rudeness every time I’ve been there. Minus 5 stars should be an option instead of one star due to the above. Should not be working in hospitality. Same with bar staff and kitchen staff who ignored us standing where orders used to be taken. None of the staff have any manners
