Phil's -b-que Pit - Black Mountain

We had the half rack of ribs and loved them. The collards, Brunswick stew, Mac and cheese and greens beans were awesome as well. I was surprised to find they give a side of hush puppy thingys that were ever so great as well. And the staff… so amazing! They really care about you. It has been a while since I’ve been to a restaurant were the staff treats you like family. Don’t pass this place up! Kid-friendliness: Great place for the entire family.

If you want good BBQ, this is the spot. Food was spot on. Their house made sauces are great. There are more than 4500 hats hanging on the ceiling.

Walk up counter service restaurant, but everyone we encountered was very friendly. The sliced brisket, chopped pork, sandwich, and chopped chicken sandwich, wete all delicious. The variety of BBQ sauces was good, hot, vinegar, white, sweet, etc.

Food was delicious and service was great! First time eating there and we will be back!

Chopped brisket platter was pretty good, comes with 2 sides and hush puppies. $16 for the meal so decent value. Sweet tea was good.
