Golden Panda - Blarney

After reading positive reviews, I decided to try take-out from this restaurant a few weeks ago. I ordered meat starters and mains, including chicken dishes. The quality of the chicken seemed okay, but that's where the positives end. The satay chicken was drenched in a unappetizing, watery yellow sauce that turned gelatinous when it cooled down. The vegetable spring rolls had more batter than actual vegetables, with only a few strands of vegetables inside. The sweet and sour chicken was covered in a similar sauce as the satay, but pink in color, and it was just sauce with no other components. Overall, the experience was shockingly bad. While everyone has their own preferences, we will not be returning based on our experience.

I ordered the black bean vegetable dish and was very disappointed. There was hardly any sauce or vegetables, and it was drowning in bean sprouts. The sauce didn't even taste like black bean.

This place only offers takeaway now. The food itself is passable, but nothing special. However it is much better than the Tung Sing in Blarney

I love ordering from this takeaway on Sundays. They serve the tastiest beef curry and spare ribs. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I ordered takeout from here twice and was disappointed both times. The curry was bland and could have been any dish on the menu. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
