Eli's Sandwich Shoppe - Bloomington

Eli is great, very sociable and sweet! The food is so good, once? I? m not a big sweet eater (all) he insisted I try a cookie and now I want it all the time!

On the downside, I wasn't a fan of the specialty sweet bread, but that's just a personal preference, so I can't say it was objectively bad. The salad was pretty standard, featuring romaine hearts, croutons, and a peppercorn Caesar dressing that tasted quite commercial—think Kraft. I found it acceptable, although it caught me off guard. The Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the salad was the powdered type you typically use at home for kids' spaghetti, which was not what I anticipated from a deli, especially given the price of the salad. If I could rate Eli's a 3.5, that would reflect my thoughts better—it's an okay meal option but doesn't quite hold up against the other delis and delivery choices in Bloomington. As it stands, I think a 3-star rating is appropriate, with the hope that some small improvements could help this place shine.

I recommended Eli's to a co-worker because I'm a big fan of subs, and WOW, what an amazing place! The customer service is excellent, the food tastes great, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, it's in a fantastic location. This will definitely be my go-to spot from now on. GREAT JOB!!!!

Eli's food is great, but I keep finding them closed whenever I visit. They've changed their hours to close at 4:00 PM, but sometimes they shut down as early as 2:00 PM.
