Montana's Restaurant And Grizzly Bar

I just recently ate at Montana's with my husband and our son. We came there for the first time and our breaths were taking away by the beautiful waterfall that immediately greets you upon entering the restaurant. The service was great, we had a girl that obviously knew what she was doing and was very sweet to us. When the food came out we were a little disappointed in the way my husband's steak was cooked. We asked for med-rare and it came out at about med. Our server told us that she would inform the manager, we saw her confront the manager who happened to be sitting at the bar eating and doing something on his computer. He shooed her away and after watching him for fifteen minutes he finally came over to the table and introduced himself as the GM of the restaurant, to make a long story short, he was VERY rude to us about the situation and did not offer us a refund and instead said we were welcome to eat anywhere else but not to come to his restaurant and complain. I was personally taken aback by this statement and thought it was very uncalled for. Our waitress came over after he left and apologized to us. Other than my husband's overcooked steak and the horrible management that goes on, Montana's actually wasn't all that bad of place to eat, I just think the owners should think twice about who they're paying to run it.

Signs of new management after May of 08 are evident everywhere. Service was excellent and the new chef obviously is taking pride in his willingness to please.

The recently re-opened Montana's would have been better off keeping its doors closed. Although the new interior updates offer a great atmosphere the service was slow and the food did not make the wait worth while. Steak salad was nothing more than bagged lettuce topped with steak and the blue cheese vinagrette was disappointing. The burger arrived with promise although it was extremely dry and grainy. Would not recommend making the trip across the bridge for this restaurant!
