Bavaria Alm Herne - Bochum

My mother came to visit from Canada and I had to take her to the Bavarian Alm to try some nice Bavarian meals. It is such a nice atmosphere, especially with the wooden tables, in a wooden building and a huge fireplace in the middle....Our waiter was hilarious as he tried to speak English and he had a good laugh about it too. If you read my last review then nothing much has changed, still think this is a good place to come to and try something new.

The interior is impressive with big fireplace, the food is very delicious, typical German specialties.

I am really impressed of this restaurant! From the main entrance you see beautiful large fireplace welcoming you! After that we were invited to sit on the second floor where the view of all restaurant was fascinating. The food was really delicious: pork knuckle, schnitzel,...sausages, great desserts. I recommend this place!

If you have never been to Bavaria then this is a great replica in Herne! Firstly, it is a huge log building with a beautiful large fireplace right in the middle (I recommend getting seated next to the fireplace for its warm ambiance). Inside there...are multiple levels, which really helps to disperse the sound of the guests. The food was excellent, no complaints. I love the schnitzel, but you can also order a number of Bavarian dishes i.e. oxtail. The service was very friendly, plus the girls all wear dirndls (oktoberfest dresses), which adds to the charm. My recommendation is to book reservations on a Friday or Saturday night, try to get the fireplace seating or the log table in the far back corner. Otherwise, second story overlooking the fireplace is also nice.

We were invited for a dinner to Bavaria Alm. The place is very nice. Food is just brilliant!!! I really enjoyed litre beer. Will definitely come back. Hope it will happen asap.
