Írjon visszajelzéstThis was my first time trying Egon. I went mainly for the "cultural experience" that my Norwegian partner told me was a must-try, but not to expect too much. There were some vegan options on the menu, so we decided to order the Asian noodles and rice bowl. The noodles seemed to be marinated in ketchup and the rice bowl tasted and looked like a simple homemade lunch. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it didn't impress me either.
The vegan Asian noodles were deliciously coated in a tasty sauce, making it a satisfying and enjoyable meal overall.
The Biff snadder was cold on the inside (obviously reheated old meat! and so dry we are still chewing it.
It's a shame that the very good Nordlys Hotel [qv] has to have this old fashioned eatery attached to it as the only place for dinner. Tatty decor and help yourself menus greet you at Egon there was no human to do that when we went with 1980's/90's music looping over the speakers. Not a welcome I would want. Sticky tables and a lazy attitude when we ordered our food. A focus on meat and burgerish food plus pizzas is ok for some, but people who try to avoid eating meat and greasy food are not well served. We had to eat that evening so we did go, but what a shame it is so out of time in relation to modern European food.
Great service, prices, food and ale. Environment is pub style and warm comfortable. Will visit again with more friends!
