El Potro Mexican - Bonner Springs

Food was good, there are a couple things I've had better in other places but it was very good overall. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area. The service was on top of it though. She had a smile was there every second that I needed something. And the atmosphere was a lot of fun.

We were in town for a show and staying down the street. Stopped by for dinner. They have so many margarita options! I had a sangria margarita, frozen. It was wonderful.Absolutely love that you get their signature queso for no charge. It was great! So were the chips and salsa. I ordered a combo and everything was fantastic. (I got the combo “Mexico City” with a pork tamale, cheese and onion enchilada, and a chile rellenos). I got the borracha beans holy moly they are delicious. My husband got some sort of smothered burrito and it was delicious as well. The menu is large with plenty of options so much of it looked awesome.I definitely recommend this place. I seen they also have other locations. We will be back!

To start off they give you queso with the chips and salsa. From there server was fantastic, place is clean and not overly loud. The food blew us away. We always go to Mexican restaurants when we travel and it's hard to top our local hometown restaurant but this did by leaps and bounds. Portion size was great and everything tasted phenomenal.

Accommodated our party of 16 quickly! Wonderful food, prices and service!

I always like to try the chips and salsa. The salsa tastes like canned tomatoes.
