Country Retreat Family Billiards Grill

This was our second time visiting this place, and I can safely say that it will not be the last. This review is a little overdue because I visited here back in October 2022, but I can tell you that the atmosphere is family friendly, the food is top-notch, and the service is excellent. If you like good burgers and dogs, and if you'd like a good game of billiards, this place is for you. If you happen to go to Boone, North Carolina on vacation, be sure to stop in and shoot a game or two. The place is spotlessly clean, and just a great place to hang out on a rainy day. Head on over and grab a bacon cheeseburger with some delicious fries and just sit and watch a game if you don't want to play.

Stopped by on Monday and had an amazingly good, huge club sandwich which my wife and I split and was all the two of us cared to eat . I had onion rings and she had fries, both were excellent, as was the service. Several local workmen were having lunch, indicating that the place is popular with the working crowd for lunch. The place was spotless including the restrooms), the food arrived very quickly and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The pool tables are absolutely gorgeous and in perfect condition. Very affordable rates and excellent cues as well. A true hidden treasure in the mountains. Highly recommended, for both pool and food. Featured in Our State magazine and now I know why. I 'm coming back soon!

By far the best billiards experience you'll find within at least a few hours of travel, Country Retreat is clean, well kept, and equipped with quality tables. The food ain't bad either.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. The service is friendly, and the establishment is clean, including the bathrooms. We tried the wings and they were delicious. We visited on a Monday at 4pm and had the place all to ourselves. The pool tables are in excellent condition and priced well for playing. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are not locals, but we are happy to have found such a great spot.
