Hokkaido - Boone

We had a late dinner here before going shopping at Walmart. The restaurant was clean and the waitstaff were friendly. The food was tasty, not too salty, and the meat was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be returning here again.

The restaurant has a poor phone service - I called every 5 or 10 minutes for an hour without any response, forcing me to go in person to place my order. When I mentioned the multiple failed calls to the host, there was no concern shown. I used to enjoy dining here, but I will have to pass in the future. Management should improve their phone answering system.

Avoid this restaurant if you have a food allergy!!!! My boyfriend ordered two hibachi chicken dishes to go. Despite suspecting a shellfish sensitivity, I did not see any indication of shrimp in the menu items that did not explicitly mention shrimp. After taking a few bites, I discovered a piece of shrimp in my dish, while my boyfriend's order was free of shrimp. When he called to request a refund for my meal, they insisted he prove the presence of shrimp by returning to the restaurant. Unfortunately, they were closed when he arrived, despite not mentioning their operating hours during the call. Eventually, he was able to return the food and get a refund the following day after I had an anaphylactic reaction and was treated in the ER. This business should clearly disclose all allergens in their dishes on the menu. See photos below for evidence.

My husband and I ate lunch at Hokkaido for the first time. My husband had hibachi steak chicken and I had hibachi chicken. The salad, meats, vegetables and rice were all delicious and very nice portions. We were impressed by how tender the meats were. Our server was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Food is AMAZING, prices are great,servers very friendly and will ask if you need anything multiple times but it feels like they rush you to hurry and eat and get out.. the last 2 times I've been there. Maybe I'll order and bring it home next time so I won't be in their way.
