There is nothing better than great fish and chips! Well maybe there is.... a great hamburger and that is what we always get at Booval Seafoods. There are always a lot of people waiting for food, but rather than being annoyed by that I am reassured by its popularity as the food is great quality and freshly made to order. Definitely put this on your list of places to try in Ipswich.

While the restaurant may not have the most attractive ambiance, I have always enjoyed a delicious meal here. It is the perfect spot for a local fish and chips experience, offering affordable options for individuals, families, or even work groups. I would suggest ordering takeout as the restaurant is located on a busy and noisy main road, with outdoor tables that may not be the cleanest. Despite the hustle and bustle, the place is often packed with customers, but you can always call ahead to avoid waiting in line. Keep a menu handy on your fridge for those nights when you're craving a satisfyingly greasy meal.

We paid almost $40 for fish and chips and a burger, which was way overpriced. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, only to find that the fish was overcooked and seemed to have been reheated. The fish burger was also very unpleasant. There was no lemon provided with the fish. The seating area was dirty and located next to a construction site. We ended up throwing out most of our meal, as it was not worth eating. We do not recommend this restaurant for those looking for authentic fish and chips. We will not be returning as it was a waste of time and money.

Have been coming here since we moved to the area.. Such a great shop, with amazing staff and the best calamari I have ever had
