Bistro 96 - BORDIGHERA

C’était excellent. The waitress was sympa, and gave a good choice of local wine. The chef was able to change the vegetable from one I’m not keen on to one I like.. all in all, well worth while.

This is a delightful bistró husband and wife team. The food aims high and sometimes misses but it’s a pleasure to see the attempts. Most dishes could be a bit more aggressively seasoned and a beautiful ravioli had a somewhat bitter mushroom broth. But a creative amuse bouche, homemade bread course, original dishes, and absolutely charming service mean that this is a place to keep an eye on.

The praise by others of this little family run restaurant is well justified. The staff are as sweet and helpful as can be, and the food is excellent tasty, fresh, well presented. Everything is homemade, including the multiple kinds of bread. Highly recommended.
