Elle Cafe - Boroondara

We went here for Saturday morning coffees with four friends who already knew the cafe. The coffees were well prepared and tasted fine and my meat pie was a treat. Pleasant service nice views of the nearby park and easy parking options are all pluses. It's a no nonsense neighbourhood cafe with pretty standard menu offerings but the blackboard specials looked interesting. Another day, perhaps.

Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. My.open focaccia with pumpkin,pesto,goats cheese etc and side salad was superb. They were happy to split the bill. We could converse and hear each other ! Thoroughly recommend.

Went here a while ago, okay, maybe six months or more, but on a recent visit we decided that it has to be crossed off our list of go to places permanently. Food was not good, eggs cold, coffee weak, service sloppy and prices have risen. Where is the justification in that?

The focaccias are great and the home-made sausage rolls are to die for. Service always top-notch and view of the nearby park is nice.

I occasionally visit this Cafe when I am in that part of town, to my surprise it is owned and operated by a person I used to always go to in the CBD a few years ago. Still providing good vale food and service in a friendly suburban cafe. Nice to see and and now I drop in more frequently.
