Greythorn Sandwich Cafe - Boroondara

Had a great friendly time close to home - would recommend without question - even though I've parked - walked by many times before I actually made the decision to walk thru door - Very pleasant

I was surprised to find how friendly and enthusiastic the staff were here. It was refreshing to find a cafe in the area that still does simple, good value lunches. i.e. the place over the road looks very new and try-hard hipster, called 'The Travelling Bandit' (Yet to try, so it might be worth the hype after all). This is a place to go if you're after a quick and simple lunch. You can get sandwiches freshly made up or there's a selection of food ready to go - bacon and egg toasties, vegetable frittata, pies, sausage rolls etc. There was also a sweets cabinet with things like cakes, biscuits and simple treats. Coffee was also available and a large selection of drinks in the fridge. $18.70 total for three freshly made sandwiches- I couldn't fault this kind of service with a smile after only recently paying $15 for a bagel in Clifton Hill. I would go back as I thought the food was fresh, simple and tasty. And of course I appreciated the friendly service.

This is a basic little coffee shop but one that gives good value, service and food. I often pop in for a bacon and egg sandwich and hot chocolate. Service is always cheery and prompt, their bacon and egg sandwiches are yummy, hot chocolate good, and very good value at under $8. You can sit inside or out. There's a variety of sandwiches, pies and standard cakes such as vanilla slice.

I dropped in for a coffee and stayed on for lunch Am very glad I did The fish of the day was superb.

The sandwiches at this restaurant are really nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean and the coffee is also good.
