With the freshest seafood, they make great Sushi and sashimi.I can never get enough of the items in their Sushi bar. Do yourself a favour and come down to Suzuran, you won't be disappointed!
If you like cooking Japanese food then you should visit here as they have everything you need to make you look like a pro. If you like Japanese beer then it is worth a visit just for that as they some you won't get anywhere else. Staff are helpful and prices are reasonable. If you want Sushi or Sashimi you can get take away, the food is good and consistent but not cheap. Make sure you allow at least 30 minutes of you order take away especially if you get there after 6pm as it gets really busy. You cannot eat there as it is purely take away or the Japanese super market.
I've been coming here for the last 20 years for my Japanese grocery shopping and also the sushi/sashimi takeaway. The supermarket is always well stocked with plenty of products from Japan. Many choices for Japanese sauces, noodles, wine, frozen and fresh products. My favourite items are - fresh miso, frozen udon, salmon, snacks and beef. The sushi/sashimi section is another favourite local takeaway. You can order from the menu over the phone and pickup once you get there. Always fresh and tasty and I always get their big platters when hosting dinners at home. Top place !
The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and delicious, and good value for money. While they have a very wide selection, I've occasionally asked them to make something separate, which they were happy to do. I love watching them make the food right in front of you. (They only do takeaways, with no space to sit down.)I haven't used the grocery store part of it, but there seems to be a wide variety of Japanese goods on offer.
Our family loves Suzuran. The sashimi and sushi are so fresh and reasonably priced and there are plenty of options. I also like to order their platters when we have parties. It's also really handy that they take phone orders. Apart from the sushi/sashimi bar, it's also a one-stop shop for everything Japanese that may need - sake, frozen dumplings, frozen tempura, pieces of salmon or tuna to slice into sashimi, ramen, udon, green or barley tea, cooking utensils, lollies, biscuits, tofu, okonomiyaki, daifuku etc.
