However, on these wintry mornings, when we have to sit outside because of our dog, it would be even more enjoyable if some patio heaters were to be employed. The wait for food & drink seems longer when you're cold!! I also wonder if it would be more efficient to either pay server from the table or, to have someone inside assigned to cash register to accept payments. Sunday mornings are busy, but we shouldn't have to wonder if anyone is going to arrive behind the cash register so you can pay your bill!
After a walk along the anniversary trail on a sunny Sunday morning nothing beats a coffee and warm croissant at Town & Country. Plenty of other options for brunch. Look forward on sunny sundays to stop off for our refreshments. Great if you have a dog as they are welcome.See you there!
Have been consistently visiting Town and Country for years, it gets busy and there is a good reason for that. The service is both warm and welcoming, also prompt despite how busy they can get! The food is amazing, try the Dr Martin pancakes, scrambled eggs or even a scone - all delicious and fresh. The venue is also great, we love the outdoor area on a sunny day it makes you feel as though you are sitting in beautiful garden. The venue doubles as a garden nursery which is also handy, staff have the experience and are brilliant with advice. Highly rate this place, make sure you check it out.
What a shame. Environment very nice but both food and coffee were barely lukewarm for both me and my mother. Tried to discretely address the issue with the manager who asked if I asked for it hot! She then bombarded me with all the things they couldn't do and made excuses. Eventually I said I didn't want to hear any more as she continued this at our table but she just kept going over me and then told me I was on her premises so not to be rude and were then asked to leave. Very upsetting and disappointing as this was part of a treat day for my mothers 88th birthday. The waitress was lovely
Went for weekday brunch. Limited menu but good food, the crumbed eggs, croquettes and brioche were all good. Service was good to start with but dropped off after a while and they weren't busy, we had to call the staff a couple of times to get what we wanted.Overall a good place for brunch or coffee. The nursery is great to wander around and has some unusual gifts ( a bit expensive but probably suits the area.)
