Basho Japanese Brasserie - Boston

Food was very good. People working there were polite and attentive. Food to table was slow and choppy. Looked like takeout orders took precedent.

Great food, great drinks, but portions aren’t huge for the price

There were several live mice eating crumbs off the carpet in front of us. We said something and one person out of everyone working did something. We had basically finished our meal by then, totally grossed out, but the restaurant didn’t offer any compensation or monetary gesture to make up for the incident. Overall it was both alarming that there were mice running around and then doubly alarming that no one captured them or felt our party should be paid back in some way for a terrible dining experience. Won’t be coming back here and actually considering calling the city of Boston because no one should eat here.

Good food, very fresh. Service was quick and on point.

Can't say enough good things about Basho: the food and service is always fantastic. It's a great alternative to going to the sports bars before or after a game at Fenway if you're in the mood for something different.
