Chaplin's The Cellar - Bournemouth

Very nice place, lots of good food, the staff very good, live music, garden, the best in bournemouth, I will come back very soon!

We stopped for lunch and I had a delicious homemade vegan patty with chips. The meal had a wonderful home-cooked taste and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Despite there being a small step at the entrance, both the employees and other customers were willing to help us out with our wheelchair. The atmosphere was cozy with the music at a perfect volume for conversation. The restaurant had spacious wooden tables perfect for enjoying our food and drinks. We haven't had a chance to try dessert yet, but we plan to return as there is live entertainment every night. There is also a lovely back garden area and the entire place is tastefully decorated in a vintage Chaplin era style. Highly recommended.

We visited Modern Times restaurant last week and it was the best dining experience we've had in Bournemouth in a long time! We tried the mussels and they were absolutely delicious. Even my four-year-old daughter couldn't resist them. The portions were generous and the desserts were even tastier. The friendly waiter made us feel right at home and was excellent with my children. The restaurant is filled with beautiful art, including the chef's creations. The food was top-notch and the service was warm and welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Just want to eat there every night, to be honest.

The restaurant is a charming, small, and lively spot with a newly added spacious dining area on the upper floor, complete with a lovely private room in the back. It boasts arguably the best beer garden around, with regular live music performances. Be sure to look it up and see for yourself!

Completely blown away by the food here. We ate the rarebit, squab, Dorset snails and a wild mushroom and venison pie. I would gladly eat any of these things as my last meal prior to my execution. They effortlessly leverage local ingredients for a delicious and cohesive menu. The staff is lovely and the decor will keep you looking around all night. Live music every night we were there. Best night out you can have in Boscombe!
