Solid english pub foodPlace was a little bigger than most pub/restaurants that I've been to but it still had that cozy pub like feeling.
Had a lovely meal, the surroundings are like new meets old,a lovely building inside and a huge garden area outside. I had the Homemade Cornish Pastie which
We've only been here for drinks in the past, and it's got a very lovely cute yet fancy interior which has a really warm atmosphere. We returned yesterday for a Sunday roast, and we were all gravely disappointed. Meat was flavourless. Roast potatoes were soft and cold. Gravy was watery and weak. Unlimited Yorkshire puddings were indeed unlimited, but they were not Yorkshire puds. You picked it up and it would crumble into sawdust. They tasted and felt like Styrofoam. None of us came close to finishing our meals, despite paying £17 for our dinners. Will not be returning for food ever again. P.S. don't get their Peacock Farm lager, it tastes like Coors light. They have much better real beers and ales on tap.
Lovely location, far too busy at the bar for the two bartenders to handle. Really nice outside seating area but with only a few parasols sadly, the seating is mostly in the sun in the afternoon which is great if you want to top up your tan but not so great if you need the shade. It is a lovely old building, maybe the old farmhouse so the inside is very much cooler than outside which is nice and has loads of seating but it is nice to be outside on a nice summers afternoon so get there early to secure a shady seat! The staff were very friendly and helpful even though there was a very long queue to the bar and a big group booking. Definitely one to visit if you haven't yet.
