First of all, I love the Brick and Mortar in Dorchester. Perfect service and everything is amazing. The food court location is much closer to where I live, and I was excited when they opened. It's awful. The service is ridiculously slow, the staff is non communicative, and they manage to get to simplest orders wrong. Today I ordered two strawberry shortcake egg pots. I was told it would take 7 minutes. I've been waiting, and am actively waiting as o wrote, for the last 20 minutes. Every other time I come, it's either an error with my drink, or a screw up with tugged day. I have not once had a positive experience without an error. It's really too bad.
Peter and Thuan are the best employees ever. Made sure I got my order quickly.
This new boba shop at the south shore plaza is a MUST try. The drinks are SO beautiful and colorful. They are very delicious as well. Price for the drinks are definitely worth it!
I’m a huge bubble tea drinker and I love to try all different kinds of places. Let me tell you, Sweet Sip did not disappoint. While there I tried three drinks: the Assam black tea with honey boba, the rose milk tea (no topping), and the Vietnamese iced coffee. All three were delicious. The Assam was a great milk tea for anyone who likes it simple and nostalgic. Nice and sweet, but not too sweet. The rose milk tea was fragrant and delicious as well. In terms of the boba, they use honey boba, which is a nice choice; this gives them a good taste, which adds nicely to the teas. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also a nice surprise. If you’ve ever had the real deal form a Vietnamese restaurant, then you would know that the coffee flavor can be strong and extra bitter. For someone who loves coffee, but is a wimp with the bitterness, this iced coffee was just the right balance. It gets even better as your ice melts.Lastly. I tried some of their Hong Kong cakes, specifically the pandan flavored cake, and the mochi filling. It was heavenly… Crisp, sweet, and flavorful. I look forward to trying the other flavors.I don’t go to Boston too often, but I would definitely come back to try more drinks at Sweet Sip the next time I’m visiting.
