Írjon visszajelzéstWaxy's is the place to go when in Branson, MO! ???????????????????? The pub is centrally located along the waterfront parkway (where all the great shops are located) and old town Branson. There is plenty of parking on either end of the strip, but theBass Pro has a HUGE parking lot with a great view of the lake/river only a few feet away... ducks, geese, fishing and a milelong paved walking path. Waxy O'Shea's Irish Pub The food at Waxy is absolutely worth the visit! This time I had a Stellabeer and Shepherd's Pie, which is one of my favorite combo's.... yum yum. ???????????????????? See you here soon!!!
I don't know what the deal was today, but the food and drinks were just not it this time. I've always appreciated the service I get here, whether we seat ourselves or have to be seated, but the service is still great. Sadly, the food and drinks I got werenot great. The Scotch eggs were a bit smaller but still good in flavor. However, whatever they are doing to the beer cheesesoup, they need to either quit or revamp/ get rid of the soup. Salt, salt, seasoning, on top of salt. This has happened twicenow where the soup was advertly salty and just can't taste anything. I think the first time I noticed a change, is that theyhad a sweet bread/cake with it, which isn't something I like but my partner loved it. Not this time and it was just too muchsalt and we had to send it back. Secondly, while my Snakebite drink was amazing, the **** Mary was just lacking. I'm not sureif it's just a change in the liquor or whoever the bartender was, but it was severely heavy handed with the vodka and very leanin the other parts of the mix. Plus, it took me asking a waiter twice to figure out where it was after 10 minutes of waitingwith only a few people at the bar and not that busy inside. I'm sorry guys, this visit was not good at all.
I ordered the bangers and mash, and while the rest of the dish was fantastic, I found the gravy lacking. It tasted like standard brown gravy and could have used much more flavor. However, I also got the bread pudding to go (regular) and it was absolutely delicious—definitely one of the best I've had in a restaurant. Kudos to the chef! Don’t miss out on this!
This restaurant has the charm of a classic Irish bar and is a fun spot to visit. They have a great number of TVs, which was a big plus since I came not just for the food and drinks but also to watch the US soccer team in the World Cup on their large screen. The beer cheese soup was fantastic, and the vegetarian boxty was surprisingly flavorful. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a pint or two of Guinness! The service was friendly and prompt without being intrusive.
Our top choice for a pub in Branson! The food is outstanding, and they have an excellent selection of Irish beers on tap, along with many others. We always order the Scotch Eggs and Beer Cheese soup—they're a must-try! The service here is top-notch!
